Blue Skies
So yesterday I FINALLY got to Blue Skies to check out my work...and I was that nerd that stood and took pictures of my work on display. I couldn't help myself - and I love as the girl unlocked the case she said "yeah we sold like 5 pieces of yours today" - I just smiled :) and my heart fluttered on the inside :)
For those of you who live in Chattanooga - you can find Blue Skies at:
Blue Skies
30 Frazier Ave (in the northshore)
Chattanooga, TN 37405
(423) 266-8010
So here a few pics I took - my display of barrettes and cuffs - and then my blanket on display - and ironically that is not my mannequin even though I use the exact one in my displays - SMALL WORLD!
And for a sicky update - my test came back negative for gallstones or the bacteria - which is good news. Now I just take some meds for 2 weeks...then go back to see what is going on. Keep me in your thoughts - my anxiety over it is DEFINITELY better...but still wonder what it could be! XOOX

I think I feel a little better....
atleast I finally got to go to the doctor - and that set my mind at ease...a little :)
So they think I have gallstones - or a bacteria of some sort (something my husband and I thought it might be after many hours of self diagnosing on the internet :) ). So they did some blood work and hopefully I will find out soon what the results are.
Anyway - just wanted you guys to know if you were worried about little ole me. Now I just want to feel better!
Trying to get back in the swing of things...

My 1st Black Apple
So yesterday in the mail I had a cute little package with this on the outside:
I have been trying to think which print I wanted of The Black Apple and I decided to go with the Salt Meet Pepper Print - I first saw this piece at my friend Stephanie's house and loved it from the first time I saw it. And I was looking for something to match some other new artwork I had bought that had turquoise tones. So this was perfect...and it doesn't hurt that the 2 little girls remind me of what my bff and I would have looked like as kids :)
So here is the package and all the goodies inside. I am very happy with my 1st Black Apple purchase - can't wait to get a frame and put it on the wall!

Oh my goodness I woke up this morning to an invitation to join spoonflower. What in the world am I going to make....I can print my own fabric?????
Here is a little bit about spoonflower:
"Spoonflower gives individuals the power to print their own designs on fabric that they can then use to make quilts, clothes, pillows, blankets, framed textile art and many, many other things that might surprise you. "
great...a new way to waste some time on the computer :)

I just wanted to write a little blog dedicated to all the little ones out there who sport Ivey Handcrafted.
Look at all these beautiful faces (and toes)....I can't even tell you how much this brightens my day to see my work modeled by these sweet kids.
I just wanted to share them with you....I know I have shared some before - but it doesn't hurt to see these faces again :)
Happy Father's Day to all you daddy's out there...and to my hubby Happy Fur Baby Daddy Day :)

Blue Skies
So today...after MANY MANY nerve spells...I have taken my order to Blue Skies in Chattanooga, TN. This is one of my MOST favorite stores...and I was so nervous about getting my work in there...I didn't think they would want it - that was me not having confidence in myself....but I took in my work (besides the blanket and samples) and the owner loved them. It is amazing that my upset tummy just went away.... :)
So in the next few day my work will be on display at Blue Skies in Chattanooga, TN. I have some pictures that I took at home - and as soon as they are out in the store I will take photos and blog about it!
Thanks for listening....thanks for your support..thanks for everything!!! xoxo

My friend Jennifer
My sweet friend Jennifer approached me awhile back about doing her wedding invitations! I met Jennifer when I worked at Hair A Go*Go and became fast friends with this beautiful girl.
Well finally they are done and mailed out....they may have taken me WAY longer than I thought they would...but I am really happy with them and so is Jenn which is the most important!

One of my biggest honors....
So after a sad week last week - we got to go to Asheville, NC (for those of you who don't know this is where we lived before Chattanooga) one of our most favorite places ever. Even though it was hot we had a most fabulous time. We stayed with our best friends Rich and Danielle who when we are together we call it Weckler Reunion - we always have the BEST times together and when it comes to an end....we never want to leave! We truly hope one day we will be back together again - raising our families together. We couldn't ask for better friends. We have had some incredible times together- but this weekend topped them all.
Highlights of the trip:
On the way to Asheville we stopped and bought a new car to replace our Audi that was on its last leg - feels so good to buy something efficient! A red civic named Scarlett :)
Fabric shopping with my BFF - look what I found!!!
And while we were fabric shopping - the boys went canoeing! So glad that our husbands have become so close...not sure what Danielle and I would do if Corey and Rich weren't great friends! We are lucky lucky girls!!!
Lots of cooking (by the boys) and relaxing, even a little wii time :) The kids (Nellie and Izzie) got along great as always :), we almost bought a puppy we named Roscoe (we always look for puppies in Ashevile, which is where our nellie was born)
But the best part of the trip....on Monday which was Danielle and Rich's 1st Anniversary (last year were all together at their incredible wedding which was a team effort and came together beautifully) Well this year on their anniversary they found out the sex of their baby - and Corey and I got to go along and see the ultrasound (I had asked Danielle if I could come see an ultrasound one day since Corey and I won't ever see one (we are going to adopt) and so Danielle and Rich invited us to be with them when they found out the sex of their baby). I don't think I have ever seen anything more beautiful then this ultrasound and seeing that we are going to have another little boy in our family :). This one of the biggest honors of my life, and we will never forget this day...seeing a baby like that was unbelievable and to share that with our best friends was something I will always cherish.
ADDITION - HERE IS A PHOTO OF THE BABY - I took the photo from Danielle's Facebook page :)
Here is a photo of my bff Danielle with a little boy in her belly :)
and just because I love these guys - I want to post a few pics of us...We love you guys and thanks again for letting us come stay and be a part of your special day....again :)
