My new Buttercup
So what a great mail day....I got Buttercup in the mail from one of my favorites Blueberry Bandit! I have quite the collection now of her lovely work and my sweet momma surprised me with this little guy today. It literally brought tears to my eyes when I saw a package on my front porch with Blueberry Bandit on it....Thanks momma - you always know how to surprise me! Threadbirds
How in the world have I not blogged about this??? So my dear friend Beth Gumnick and I decided to do some collaborating...at first it was just for fun - a way to get together and make art, little did we know we would fall in love with our work.
"Threadbirds is a collaborative effort between visual artist Beth Gumnick and fabric artist Tobi Weldon. We work with vintage linens and other fabrics, buttons and trim, and bits of vintage jewelry. We love to make beautiful things from other folks cast-offs and bring new life to what otherwise might go overlooked!"
We are so excited about this venture and can't wait to have our debut at Who Fest this year in Chattanooga, TN - until then you can find us here! Here are a few of our photos - hope you enjoy! xo
