So when my dear friend Lynda of Another Sassy! Product stumbled upon these old shirts at a used uniform sale - she brought them home and didn't know what to do with them. My first thought - use the cuffs of the sleeves...for cuffs!!! So here are the first 3 I made yesterday - I really love them and I am excited to give a new use to old shirts...now I want to go thrift store shopping for old shirts! This could get crazy! But oh so fun! I will add these soon to my online shop - and many more to come!

My friend Nicole from Tangerinas asked me to make a few flowers for her hair - and I am so glad she did because I believe I made some cute new little flowers perfect for a little color in your world. Take a peak. I will be adding them to etsy soon!

Atleast I am driving now - have had to be driven around all week - thank goodness I can get out of the house on my own today!

What a weekend

Well it was a great weekend with the company we had (best friends from asheville and one of my best friends from college and her husband) - then Saturday night took a turn for the worst when I was gazing at the sunset coming down the steps of a local restaurant and twisted the %$&* out of my right foot - the one I have broken before. So we get ice at the restaurant and some chairs to sit in and prop my foot up - then as I am in horrible pain I look up and see my customer/friend Kelly who is a doctor and her husband who is also a doctor. Can we say perfect timing? So they check it out and tell me that it should be fine - just take care of it oh and have a drink or two :). And then Kelly said she would come by the next morning and check it out. How awesome is that?

So it is doing okay - I can walk around - it just isn't pretty :) So I am a little laid up - but I will be fine.

But I thought I would add a pic of me laid up with my two fur babies taking care of me :)

My new little dwelling...

well she just opened another shop called Petite House with the cutest little dwellings. And I just had to buy one - and was so excited when she told me that it was actually the first little dwelling she made. Lucky me - I can't wait to get it in the mail!

My Nephew Rigby is turning 5

This is so hard to believe because I swear he was just a baby. But it is true, he is turning 5 and I was lucky enough to make his birthday invites and wanted to share them with you! And it was so awesome that Rigby got to be a part of the invitation process by stamping his hand on each invitation to represent his 5 years.

So after getting my sweet new brooch in the mail yesterday it made me excited about fall weather and new brooches. I have always loved brooches - I grew up with my mom wearing beautiful handmade brooches and have always loved adding a brooch to my favorite jacket. Yesterday I stumbled upon Jessica Jane's etsy shop through The Constant Gatherer's blog that I found through @ Home's blog. Was that confusing enough? Anyway here are some of my favorites from Jessica Jane:
