Lunch with a crafty friend!

I had the pleasure of lunching with my friend Stephanie of The Living Room Floor. We had a nice lunch at Caffeine here in Chattanooga.

We had a nice lunch - and it was just good to have an hour to spend hanging out with another crafty person!

Project of the Day

I figured since I was going out of town this weekend to visit my cousins in Augusta - I should bring her three little girls hairclips! I think they would be perfect for those beautiful little girls!

Conversation with a friend

So today at work my friend asked me when I get bigger (wow that would be awesome) would I have people working for me making Ivey Handcrafted? Well my response was I never want to be that big - I want to keep my work one of a kind or the most 5-10 of a kind. I want to keep my work detailed and continue to make people feel special. Now I do know if a company (definitely have stores in mind) want my designs - I would be happy to sell them my design and they can mass produce it themselves. But as far as Ivey Handcrafted goes - I want to stay small...and continue to make things one by one----with my own 2 hands.....because where would the fun go if I let other people do it for me?

Custom Orders

So yeah....not much went on in my 1st day of the New Year - but I had to relax some also - my last day off!! So my biggest accomplishment was finishing a custom order that I am ashamed to say I have had too long. I got these 2 custom orders then got a full time job - then holidays! UGH! So finally I got one done - and started the other one only to realize I didn't have the right size onesie! So after work today I get to run and buy onesies :) So here is a photo of my "O" onesie. I can't wait to start some new projects!

2008 Day One

Well I started out my day with breakfast at Aretha's - that definitely didn't help start out my personal resolutions - but it sure was good eats to start off the new year! So then I immediately came home and started researching felt classes....which I found some but not until summer! What am I going to do? I am going to have to go with my books and become "self-taught" until later. So I need to start that - I have already done some needle felting! So stay tuned....and see where I go with this!
